AMARILLO, TEXAS - We now know the name of the man shot once in an Amarillo neighborhood Friday.
The victim is 37 year old Anthony Savage, who police say still has life threatening injuries after being shot in the chest and back Friday morning.
It happened around eleven here in the 1100 of North Washington.
Savage gave police a name that could be the suspect, but they only have some vague details to go on right now.
Sgt. Brent Barbee from the Amarillo Police Department says, "we have information the suspect fled in a gray two door pontiac within a few minutes. They stopped two or three different gray pontiacs occupied by single black males in an attempt to locate the suspect."
Right now they have not found the person who shot Savage or the gun used in the shooting.
Police also do not know why Savage was at this house, because he does not live on that block.
They went inside the house where he was found but did not find anything.
This shooting comes less than 24 hours after a meeting in this community to figure out how to cut down on violent crime like this.
