Safety Questions after Latest Murder

AMARILLO, TEXAS - Police plan on taking their evidence to the district attorney Monday afternoon in the city's latest murder arrest.

Police have pretty much had someone in custody since this first happened, but now they're confident enough to take the case to prosecutors. Conh Man Pham was booked into the Potter County Detention Center after being released from the hospital Saturday.

Police think he stabbed 58-year-old Dinh Van Pham inside the Our Lady of Vietnam Catholic Church Friday afternoon. Van Pham was inside the building volunteering at the time.

Officers say when they arrived at the church after a 9-11 call, the suspect also was injured and fell to the ground. They would not say more about his injuries other than it was in his leg. They also would not comment on how they think those wounds happened.

As of Monday night, the suspect is still in jail this evening on a $50,000 dollar bond. Police have not released a motive in the case - but family members of the victim say they were told the suspect does have psychological problems.
