CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - Voters have approved a $16 million bond issue for Clovis Municipal Schools in eastern New Mexico.
Unofficial results from Tuesday's balloting showed 1,561 votes for and 926 against. Some 14% of eligible voters cast ballots.
The bonds will pay for improvements to buildings and technology around the district. They also will pay for the district's 20% match of a proposed new middle school and a new building at an elementary school.
