Temporary Potter County Judge

Amarillo, TX - Today during the Potter County Commissioners Meeting it was decided who is going to fill Judge Arthur Ware's position while he recovers from a stroke.

Joe Kirkwood from Precinct 3 was voted as the temporary judge starting today. Kirkwood will fill in for 30 days and other commissioners will then take the position if ware is not able to return to work by then.

"I'm taking the first month and then Commissioner HR Kelly will be doing the subsequent month and we will just look at it as a month by month basis and we all pray and hope for the judges quick recovery," Kirkwood said following the meeting.

Judge Ware is recovering and it was said at the meeting today he is doing much better. His family appreciates all of the prayers and support.
