Amarillo, TX - A plume of smoke Wednesday afternoon brought plenty of attention to NE 3rd Street in downtown Amarillo.

The Amarillo Fire Department was called out to the 300 block of North Monroe, where a single-story vacant home was engulfed in flames.

The fire was quickly under control by fire crews, and no injuries were reported.

The house has severe damage and the fire remains under investigation by the fire marshal's office to determine the cause.
