PORTALES, NM-- There are new developments in the shooting death investigation of an Eastern New Mexico University student.

22-year-old Angel Vale was shot and killed Thursday. Co-workers found her body outside her home on North Avenue A. Vale was shot three times, once in the mouth, once in the back and one time underneath her arm. It is not known, which shot killed her.

Investigators have located a gun that is now being analyzed to see if it is the gun that was fatally fired towards Vale. According to investigators, that gun belonged to her boyfriend who lived with her in the home. He was at work at the time of the deadly shooting and is not being considered a suspect.

Over the weekend, a 13-year-old boy was arrested for burglarizing Vale's home. The teenager lived nearby on the same street.
