ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Police say a gunman who entered an Albuquerque solar manufacturing plant and opened fire before committing suicide left a rambling 'manifesto.'
Police Chief Ray Schultz told The Albuquerque Journal that Robert Reza's 40-page missive appears to have been written recently. He says the writings were not specifically aimed at his ex-girlfriend, Adrienne Basciano, who was critically wounded in the attack and appears to be the target. Instead, the chief says they appear to be ramblings of someone who was in a crisis and was mentally ill.
Reza killed two workers and wounded four others, including the mother of his twin sons, before killing himself on Monday.
Police are still trying to confirm statements made by former co-workers that Reza he had been diagnosed with a mental illness.
