Amarillo, Texas - Hundreds of thousands of gallons of sewage overflow all over the City of Amarillo, after the heavy rains we saw on Wednesday night overload the wastewater collection system.

There are five locations dealing with the same problem. About 150,000 gallons of sewage overflowed at each place.

The sewage is coming from both households and businesses. While health and safety concerns may be the first thing you think of when you hear sewage spill, the city says there is nothing to worry about.

The sewage is diluted because it's mixed in with fresh rainwater, diminishing any potential problems.

They are, however, working with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality just to double check.
