DARROUZETT, Texas (AP) - A Texas Panhandle sheriff says two people are dead from a natural gas pipeline explosion.

Amarillo, TX - Officials from Denver-based DCP Midstream are now on scene near Darouzett where a natural gas pipeline exploded Tuesday.
The crews arrived around 9 a.m. Wednesday to begin investigating what caused the deadly blast. Officials say the 8-inch ruptured pipeline was buried three feet underground.
They are not saying whether or not the line was marked with flags or signs. The explosion happened around 4 p.m. Tuesday when crews from Nick Thomas Inc. of Canadian were excavating caliche.
Forty four-year-old Johnny Mike Renner and 32-year-old Steven Douglass O'Dell, both from Pampa, died in the blast. Renner is the father of two children.
