PARENTS DON'T WAIT: Early Vaccinations

Amarillo, TX - Local parents have no excuse this year, get your child vaccinated or don't send them to school. The Texas Department of State Health Services is encouraging parents to get their children vaccinated now to avoid the back-to-school rush later this summer.

With the new requirements implemented last year, many local doctors and clinics were overwhelmed last summer by last-minute demand for vaccines. Children are required to be fully immunized before the first day of school. Last year DSHS extended the deadline for parents to get their children in compliance with some of the vaccination requirements for school attendance.

The Care Van will be offered throughout Amarillo and Canyon until school starts.

Parents must bring a copy of each child's immunization record. Cost is $5.00 for 1 shot, $10.00 for 2 or more, but no child will be denied services.
All clinics are from 2:30 to 4:30
