Dumas man receives 20 year sentence

A Dumas man who set fire to his probation office and stole his criminal records has been sentenced to 20 years.

A judge sentenced 19 year old Michael Chase Baldwin of Dumas Tuesday.

Baldwin was on probation for possession of a controlled substance.

Officials say Baldwin broke into the probation office, dumped gasoline and set it on fire. Baldwin pleaded guilty to criminal mischief over the January tenth fire.

He must now pay more than 800,000 dollars in fines.
