Group Complains About Clovis Superintendent

Clovis, NM - Race is becoming a contentious issue in the Clovis Municipal School District.

Minority groups want the current superintendent to resign now because they say her administration has pushed out minority leaders.

Superintendent Rhonda Seidenwurm has already announced she's retiring at the end of June.

But a crowd including members from the Concerned Citizens of Curry County packed Tuesday's school board meeting.

They also allege district programs for poor and minority families face more reductions than other programs.

Seidenwrum says there are not plans to cut those programs.

The administration plan to meet with coalition members tomorrow night.
