Let's be honest, we have all opened up a few gifts during the holidays that weren't exactly what we were expecting....so we head back to the stores to make returns or exchanges.
The day after Christmas marks the beginning of retailer's last hurrah before this year's shopping season ends.
Aside from looking for those post-Christmas sales, shoppers are hitting the roads for three reasons...gift returns, exchanges, and gift card redemptions.
Kirklands home decor says with or without a receipt they will take returns.
"Our return policy basically is with a receipt is 60 days, without a receipt we will give you an in-store credit or you can exchange for any merchandise of that same price," said Carmen Ortix, Senior Assistant for Kirklands Home Decor.
Game day says they typically do not see many returns - if its the right size and the right team - everyone is happy.
But in the event of a mismatch, they do offer a standard return policy.
"We have a standard return policy, if the purchase was on a credit card - then we put it back on the credit card, if it was a cash purchase with a receipt - then we can give you cash back. With no receipt, we give you store credit," said Manager of Game Day, Kurt Lester.
With electronics topping most wish lists this year, best buy in Amarillo is already gearing up for the post-Christmas rush.
They are offering an extended holiday return policy, with or without a receipt.
"We will have everything set up the day after Christmas, ready for that to try and expedite the process as quickly as possible, to take care of all the customers we can," Operations Manager for Best Buy, Andy Somerville.
