Amarillo, TX -- An Amarillo driver who struck a man working in the back of his pickup truck will now face intoxicated manslaughter charges.
Shortly after 5pm Friday, officers responded to the crash in the 500 and 600 hundred blocks of Fillmore.
Police say 33 year old William Shad Stevens had been drinking when he hit 55 year old Nelson Ray Bridges II's truck.
The impact ejected Bridges out of the truck, and Stevens' car pushed it an entire block into another car.
Stevens hit the truck as Bridges was getting tools out of it's bed.
Bridges later died at the hospital.
