Community College President Cleared of DUI Charges

PORTALES, NEW MEXICO - A prominent community leader in Eastern New Mexico is clear of all DUI charges.

Mesalands Community College president 58-year-old Philip Barry was arrested in October while vacationing in Albuquerque, but the judge dismissed his case Friday because of the state's failure to provide discovery.

Court workers say this most often means the arresting officer did not show up for court.
