AMARILLO, TEXAS - The local housing crisis is nowhere near over. Panhandle experts want to spread that message in response to a national report out this weekend.

Sunday the Mortgage Bankers Association predicted that the number of people behind on their home loans will go down as the year closes out.

But at the local Housing and Urban Development office, they're seeing more people that ever before looking for help. Right now their waiting list is anywhere from two to three years long depending on what county you live in.
