Childress, Texas - The Childress chief of police says two officers tried to pull over 28 year old Tabarius Brown for speeding around three Saturday morning.

The chief says Brown did not stop for 18 blocks, but when he did, he got out of the car armed with a gun.  The two officers reportedly felt threatened and shot Brown to death.

Those officers, whose names the chief would not release, are on administrative leave for three days.  He says that is policy.

An autopsy has been ordered on Brown in Lubbock while the Texas Rangers are investigating the whole thing.
