Amarillo, Texas - A man who was caught trying to smuggle over $500,000 dollars worth of methamphetamine on Interstate 40 is sentenced to 35 years in prison. The 47th District Attorney's office says a Potter County jury found Leonardo Ledezma guilty of possessing a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Ledezma and another man were arrested back in February of this year near Amarillo. The drugs were hidden in a compartment in the tailgate of the pickup.
