Perryton Police Investigating In Custody Death

Perryton, Texas - An autopsy will be performed on a Perryton man who died while police attempted to take him into custody early Monday morning.

Perryton police say they responded to the parking lot of a bank and found the man acting erratic. They say he told the officers he had a controlled substance on him. They attempted to take him into custody when he had what police say was a "medical incident."

Officers then tried to revive the man by using CPR, but were unable to revive him.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
