Purse Robbery Victim Dies; Case Now A Homicide

Amarillo, Texas - The victim of a purse robbery at an Amarillo grocery store has died.

Amarillo police say 83 year old Dorcie Fern Plumlee died Friday morning.

The robbery happened at the Amigos store on I-40 East on October 19.

Plumlee had remained in the hospital since the robbery for injuries to her shoulder and wrist.

Police say the suspect pushed her to the ground and stole her purse.  They describe him as six feet tall with a slender build and shoulder-length brown hair.
