Amarillo, Texas - She says her children were forced by their father to watch pornography, and now a mother is speaking out.

The children we are talking about lived here in Amarillo with their father when he allegedly showed them the graphic sexual images.  But he will not face charges because Texas law says that is legal.

Crystal Buckner says she was disgusted when her children, ages eight and nine, told her their father sat them down in front of the computer in February.   She says, "he showed them two girls together. He showed them a guy and two girls and other sexual acts."

After her children were interviewed by local child advocates, Buckner took the case to the Randall County District Attorney.  He soon figured out he had no case under Texas law.

James Farren says, "the statute clearly describes the material as harmful to children and then says even if it's harmful to children, it's a defense if a parent shows the material which is harmful to children."

The father, if he did show his kids porn, was not breaking the law in doing so.  Because of this incident lawmakers may take a closer look at the law in their next session.

State Representative from Amarillo John Smithee says, "I'm going to talk to some of the prosecutors around and if they can't prosecute, which apparently there is some doubt, then we need to change the law."

A letter has also been sent to the Texas Attorney General for interpretation of this law.

Buckner now has custody of her children.

Farren says even if a law is passed prohibiting this, the father in this case still would not be prosecuted.
