Amarillo, TX-It's now possible to limit certain things that you're teen does while driving.
The My-Key by Ford allows parents to program their teen's car so it can't exceed eighty miles-per-hour.
Other features include having to buckle your seat belt before the radio can turn on...
And not being able to turn the volume up past a certain point.
Some local teens however, feel this is a violation of their rights as drivers.
"I say it's dumb because it's your car and you should be able to do what you want with it," said Breanna Williams."
But to be fair to those people who are less than happy about the technology-it's not mandatory.
"We've had a lot of questions from parents. You know saying i don't feel i should be able to limit what my son or daughter can do in the car and things like that.and that's fine. But it's something you have to program yourself. You can turn it off if you want," said Jon Turk, Ford Sales Associate.
