Everyone with Flu Must Leave the Building

PORTALES, NM - One area city is taking some drastic measures to prevent the spread of the H1N1 virus -- and it seems to be working.

At the public library in Portales the new policy posted there is to send home any visitors showing signs of the flu.

Similar polices are also all around the town. For example, if your making a payment at city hall, they want you to use the drop box instead of coming inside -- so you can avoid contact with other people.

Since putting the changes in place last week, the number of H1N1 cases has decreased so much that the city took down their swine flu triage unit because of a lack of demand.
