Amarillo, TX -  Come this winter you could notice a price drop in your gas bill. New drilling technologies and a decrease in demand are causing an excess stockpile of natural gas in our nation's pipelines.

According to the energy information administration we are experiencing a record high amount of natural gas. Which in turn is causing the price to drop dramatically from last year. There are many reasons why you could save.

Executive Vice President of Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Association, Wayne Hughes says, "you'll pay less at your burner tip. That is the bill you get from Atmos energy or whoever your utility is.

You're bill will be somewhat less because gas is more abundant ... Its easier to process ... It's closer to you." Natural gas generates about a fifth of our nation's electricity each year.
