DUMAS, TEXAS - A Moore County man could spend the next 99 years behind bars for murder.

A grand jury indicted Donald Jameson after investigators say he slit the throat of Ronald Whitfield on August 1.

Dumas police say Whitfield gave Jameson a ride home after going to a bar. A motive for the stabbing on this corner of northeast Sixth and Maddox is still not known. These are not capitol murder charges, so Jameson will not face the death penalty.
