Thousands In Damage Done To Pampa High School, Teen Arrested

Pampa, Texas - A student at Pampa High School is arrested after police say he caused several thousand dollars worth of damage to the school.

Students in the school were evacuated and taken to safe areas after the fire alarm had sounded. Police say a student tampered with a fire sprinkler in the basement, causing flooding. Officials continue to assess the damage and a dollars amount has not yet been determined.

The juvenile student was arrested and transported to the Garza County Juvenile Detention Center in Post, Texas near Lubbock. He is charged with False Alarm Or Report Of An Emergency and Criminal Mischief Over $1,500 and under $20,000. Both are State Jail Felonies.
