Amarillo, Texas - The life of a very large tree has been saved and should provide shade for folks at the new Redstone development.
Construction at the Western Crossings site where new hotels are being built, requires the removal of three large Shade Master Locusts. As it happens, the Redstone development south of Hollywood road needs about six-hundred trees.
Ron Connally, Redstone developer says, "They chemically treated these trees to try to keep them from going into shock. In doing so it creates their hibernation process, the trees start turning yellow, and falling and that's the opportunity at that point to reduce your risk to remove those trees.
