Amarillo, Texas - The Dilla Villa will continue to operate but a lot of changes will need to be made before the beginning of the next season.

Today the Potter County commission votes to allow the Dilla organization to come up with a proposal for refurbishments. Commissioners say other improvements in the area have brought the Dilla Villa to their attention.

Potter County Judge Arthur Ware says, "Here we are with this stadium that's 55 years old and we're trying to figure out what to do. We have been able to put money in it over the years but nothing that has really been able to knock the socks off the people that attend those games."

The Dilla organization says it wants to make changes but retain some of the stadium's charm.  Dillas General Manager Mike Lee says, "Some of the seats actually on the field kind of cut in and go out. We're going to bring that style to the Dilla Villa. So we're going to do everything in our power to keep the old-timey look but we're just going to renovate it and make it new."

The refurbishments could cost as much as two-million dollars.
