Lubbock, Texas - Another dramatic day inside the Levi King murder trial courtroom.
Thursday's emotional 9-1-1 phone call made by the only survivor of the Pampa slaying was too much for many of the victim's family members to handle.
But Friday, things became even more emotional as graphic autopsy photos were shown... So graphic, in fact, that some younger viewers may find this report disturbing.
Those photos were of the three victims... Brian Conrad, Michell Conrad and Zach Doan, who all suffered multiple gun shot wounds when King entered their Pampa home on September 30, 2005.
Michell was pregnant when she was murdered, and, against the wishes of King's attorneys, photos of her unborn fetus with bullet fragments in its head were allowed in the courtroom.
Several other witnesses took the stand Friday, including the family veterinarian, who has treated their dog Molly for several years.
Molly was also fatally shot several times during the attack. King's back was to us, so we couldn't see any of his emotions, but he did bring in a container that appeared to be filled with pens and pencils.
It looked like he was sketching something or writing on a notepad throughout the trial Friday morning. The punishment phase is set to resume on Tuesday morning.
