BB Gun Vandals Arrested

Two Amarillo teens could see state jail time if convicted of vandalism in the West Hills area.

Amarillo police say the 13 and 14-year-old males shot at cars and homes on Southwest Third, Northwest Second, North Palomino, Beverly, and North Rosemont.

"Well they may be jailed with criminal mischief, which is a state jail felony, and if it goes over 1500 dollars, which it certainly should. If it goes over 20 thousand dollars, which I don't know because we don't have an estimate. It would be an even more serious felony," says Sgt. Brent Barbee, APD

Police say the two were found with BB pistols around two this morning near First and Virginia.

A third was questioned with the teens, but he was not detained.

The teens are being held at the Youth Center of the High Plains pending charges.
