UPDATED: Head On Accident Kills One Driver

Amarillo, TX - One man is dead after a wreck Sunday morning.

Around 6:30 Amarillo Police responded to an accident in the 1300 block of North Pierce where it meets up with the Dumas Highway. Witnesses told officers on scene that a Ford Mustang was traveling north in the southbound lanes of Pierce when a semi collided with the Mustang under the bridge.

The driver of the Mustang, 49 year old Albert Castoire, was pronounced dead at the scene. Both people in the semi were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident is still under investigation.
