Austin, Texas - Democrats say Texas employers are paying the price for Governor Rick Perry's rejection of federal stimulus money.

In March Governor Perry announced he would reject the $550 million in stimulus money for the state's unemployment insurance.

Now, Texas is forced to borrow more than $640 million from the federal government to cover unemployment claims.

Officials say the fund will be completely out of money next week.

Governor Perry says he rejected the money because it had too many strings attached.
