ATF Now Investigating Farwell Egg Farm Fire

A federal agency is now investigating a fire that caused an estimated $20 million of damage in Parmer County.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is in Farwell investigating what caused a massive fire Thursday evening.

Five separate 20 thousand square foot buildings were burned at the Cal-Maine Foods egg production plant.

The fire did not hurt anyone but it did kill an estimated 800,000 chickens.

The ATF says their national response team helps investigators at the scenes of significant arson and explosive incidences.
