Amarillo, Texas - The Amarillo City Commission says Tuesday it's surprised the city is receiving more money for airport improvements than expected.

More than $3-million from the Federal Aviation Administration will go toward the terminal building renovation project.

More than $7.5 million from the Transportation Security Administration will go for a baggage system that meets current baggage security designs.
