A man shot overnight in a home invasion is in critical condition today, and is expected to live.

Amarillo police say they received a 9-1-1 call just after 2 this morning at 907 South Hayden.

Police say when they arrived, they found a man shot in his leg with no pulse.

He is in an Amarillo hospital today and police say they want to talk to him to find out what happened.

"He is truly the victim in this. We have a black male and a hispanic male that forced their way into the house and gunshots were fired and he gets shot in the leg," said Cpl. Jerry Neufeld, APD

Police say the 9-1-1 caller left the house in fear the suspects would come back for them.

Witnesses say they saw the two men leaving the house in a pick-up truck with long barrelled guns.
