A man was found dead on Sunday afternoon in Carson County after apparently being shot in a corn field.
The Sheriff's Office is still actively investigating the incident.
We don't know any names or ages right now but what we can tell you is that the man was found dead just after noon on Sunday.
DPS was the first to arrive on scene and when they got here they found a woman walking out of the corn field.
It was later discovered that she's the one who made the original 911 phone call. There was an apparent domestic dispute and a gunshot was fired.
That woman was later taken into custody.
Sheriff Tam Terry says, "We have a lot of work to do to figure out if it was a self defensive or an aggressive act and that's what we're working on right now."
