Clovis Food Bank To Get Food From Stimulus

Clovis, New Mexico -

Thousands of dollars worth of food is on its way to a local food bank, courtesy if the federal government.

The Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico is one recipient of part of $700,000 in food from the USDA's Emergency Food Assistance Program.  That money comes from federal stimulus funds.

Governor Bill Richardson made the announcement Thursday in Albuquerque when hundreds of cases of applesauce and hundreds of whole chickens were delivered to a food bank there.
