New Mexico - Two area counties will soon have better roads.
Curry and Roosevelt Counties are two of eleven in New Mexico that will share $16.1 million stimulus funds.
That money will be used for:
- A bridge replacement on the Hull Street Bridge in Clovis; estimated cost $831,439
- Re-paving and rehabilitate 2 miles of roadway service on NM 209 in Curry County; estimated cost $831,489
- Enhancements and pedestrian facilities on U.S. 60/70/84 from Texico to the State Line; estimated cost $249,747
- Reconstruction of 2 miles of roadway on NM 88 in Roosevelt County; estimated cost $831,489
Governor Richardson says a recent tour of the state proved the money was needed the most for the 14 selected projects.
