Leaf still free

Amarillo, Texas - West Texas A&M football coach Ryan Leaf has not turned himself into Randall County Authorities as expected.

Leaf's attorney, Bill Kelly says he will take Leaf to authorities Friday morning after Kelly is through with a court case.

Leaf faces one count of burglary and eight drug-related counts associated with the painkiller Hydrocodone.

Randall County District Attorney Randall Farren says he never set a deadline for Leaf's return to Randall County.

He says he's treated Leaf's case like he's treated every other case.
