Residents of Claude are complaining about clutter hurting their city image.
Drive into the city limits and this is the first thing you see.
Rows and rows of truck and tractor parts.
As one traveler put it, the clutter makes Claude look: "Rundown on it's way out about to become a ghost town," Bill Cook said.
City officials have already made several attempts to get the lots cleared - each failing.
They have ordinances on the books, but none seem to cover this exact issue.
The city also doesn't have a zoning committee or regulations. So they don't have legal control over private property.
In fact, Claude hired an attorney to deal with the problem.
The legal consul told them, hey, you just can't legislate ugly.
