Texas Voter ID Bill Fails

You won't have to show a Photo ID to vote in Texas, at least not for now.

A midnight deadline Wednesday for the Voter ID Bill came and went in the House.

Leaders from both parties said the controversial election reform had gone down in flames.

Texas Democrats staged a five day filibuster to keep the legislation from passing.

In the process, hundreds of bills died.

If approved, the legislation would have required Texas voters to show a government issued Photo ID in order to vote.
