Rabies Case Confirmed In Randall County

The first Rabies case for Randall County is confirmed.

The Texas Department of Health says a Hoary Bat was confirmed to have rabies on the 15th of this month. They say a family found the bat hanging at their home and called animal control to remove it.

The bat has been submitted for rabies testing by Animal Control. Officials say no humans or animals were exposed to the bat.
