Money for 9-1-1 software approved

The Amarillo City Commission has approved the purchase of Priority Dispatch ProQA 911 call-taking software.

The city has already purchased the software for APD dispatchers. Now, Potter and Randall County 911 call centers will use the software, enabling the three entities to communicate more fully.

Funding for the purchase, $72,469, is made available by the Potter-Randall county Emergency Communications District.
