Hundreds are remembering fallen Texas soldiers tonight and honoring those in service for the sacrifices they make for their country.
Saturday is Armed Forces Day and for the past five years America Supports You Texas has commemorated the date with a banquet.
Organizers say it is both an honor and a duty to show their gratitude to our armed services.
Jack Barnes says "those young men and women are serving us on the battlefield as we speak, and we just need to take this opportunity to say 'thank you' for what they do for this country."
May is Military Awareness Month, and America Supports You Texas will continue their events with the 5-K "Run for the Troops" Sunday morning at the Texas Panhandle War Memorial.
