Remains of Amarillo psychiatrist returned to the US

DOVER, Del. (AP) - The body of an Amarillo psychiatrist who was among five people fatally shot in Iraq has returned to the United States.

The remains of 54-year-old Maj. Matthew Houseal and two other victims were brought to Dover Air Force Base tonight with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen attending.

The three transfer containers were lowered down on a lift from a 747 commercial airplane, and six military personnel carried them onto a white truck.

The families chose not to give interviews.

An Army sergeant finishing up his third tour of duty is accused in Monday's killings in Baghdad. Sgt. John M. Russell of Sherman remains in military custody.
