Health Insurance available for more Oklahomans

Fewer people will go without health insurance in Oklahoma thanks to bi-partisan cooperation.

Governor Henry signed a Republican-backed bill designed to enhance the Insure Oklahoma program he developed.

The public-private partnership has enrolled more than 18 ,000 Oklahomans in employee-sponsored or individual health insurance plans.

With the new legislation, Henry expects around 1,000 new participants to sign up each month.

GOP leaders say the changes will increase enrollment, and make health insurance more accessible while reducing the cost of health insurance plans.
