Historical Markers Dedicated On Amarillo College Campus

Amarillo College makes its mark on Texas history.

Historical markers for Ordway and Russell halls were dedicated in a ceremony Thursday afternoon. After being listed on the National Register of Historic Places for years, the halls were finally marked as Recorded Texas Historical Landmarks.

The two halls are the original buildings on the Washington street campus. They were designed by Amarillo architect Guy Carlander and built in 1937.
