Its been 17 years since a Randall High School Science team has won a Science Bowl.
Randall High's Science team will be among 67 high schools competing in the national science bowl finals sponsored by the U.S. Dept of Energy.
The Randall High School Science Team won their chance for an all expense paid trip to the big one.
The team won regional's at West Texas A&M in 2008. Team member Zac Pluhar says"Its a ton of fun, the competition about it pretty much its Math and Science applying we we have learned."
The teams coach Mrs. Usniek told the Buzz that this group of kids are special. The team practices during the week and all will graduate this year but one.
Amarillo will also be represented in the middle school division by St. Andrew's Episcopal school.
