$15 Million In Stimulus Money Coming To Eastern New Mexico

Over $15 Million dollars are coming to eastern New Mexico to help with water and environmental projects.

The USDA announced today that the City of Tucumcari will receive $7 Million and the Village of Logan will receive $8.5 Million to help with improved wastewater treatment systems and safer drinking water.

The money for the projects come from the national stimulus plan President Obama signed into law in February. Nationally, $615 million dollars will go to fund similar projects. An estimated 12,000 jobs will be created or saved by the grants.
