What to do about confiscated 8-liners?

Potter County is considering what to do with more than 200 confiscated gambling devices known as 8-liners.

They're currently being stored in the Potter County Bowie Annex but county officials are running out of space.

Today at the Potter County Commission the County Attorney's office received permission to investigate the possibility of selling the machines out of state.

Previously the county would destroy the machines in a landfill but environmental concerns now prohibit them from doing so.

The County Attorney will now discuss the issue with the Texas Building and Procurement Commission, the entity responsible for such transactions.
